Magic Tournaments!

Unless otherwise indicated, prizes will be booster packs based on the number of participants.  This month we will feature TWO FNM tournaments each Friday:  One at 1pm and another at 7pm.  There will be promo cards for both events! The foil prize card this month is Anathemancer

July 2, Friday, 1pm & 7pm is Friday Night Magic (FNM) Standard Sanctioned..   Entry is $5.

July 3, Saturday, 7pm is Zendikar Bloc.  Entry is $5.

July 7, Wednesday, 6:30pm is Standard.  Entry is $5.

July 9, Friday, 1 pm & 7pm is Friday Night Magic (FNM) Booster Draft Sanctioned.   Entry is $15.

July 10, Saturday, Noon to 1pm registration, is The Magic 2011 Pre-Release Sanctioned.  Construct your deck of at least 40 cards using the contents of 6 boosters.  There will be promo cards and extra prize support provided by Wizards of the Coast!  Entry is $30

July 14, Wednesday, 6:30pm is Old School Booster Draft.  We will use random boosters from past sets.  Entry is $15.

July 16, Friday, 1pm & 7pm is FNM Standard Sanctioned.  Entry is $5.

July 17, Saturday, 6pm is Magic 2011 Launch Party Sanctioned.  Construct your deck of at least 40 cards using 6 boosters.  There will be exclusive promos for all participants.  Entry is $25.

July 21, Wednesday, 6:30pm is Magic 2011 Booster Draft.  Entry is $15.

July 23, Friday, 1pm & 7pm is FNM Booster Draft Sanctioned.  We will use Magic 2011 boosters.   Entry is $15.

July 24, Saturday, 7pm is Two-Headed Giant Booster/Trash Draft.  This is NOT WOTC rules.  Entry is $5 per player.

July 28, Wednesday, 6:30pm is Standard.  Entry is $5.

July 30, Friday, 1pm & 7pm is FNM Standard Sanctioned. Entry is $5.

July 31, Saturday, 7pm is Ice Age Bloc Booster Draft!  Draft your deck of 40 or more cards from one booster each of Ice Age, Alliances & Coldsnap.  Here is your chance to draft a Force of Will!  Entry is $20. 

August 4, Wednesday, 6:30pm is Booster/Trash Draft.  Entry is $5.

Magic Specials:  Zendikar bloc booster boxes are just $99.  Don’t forget our Pack Smack deal:  Three Magic boosters for just $11 including tax.  That’s just $3.38 per booster!

Call of Cthulhu

July 8, Thursday, 6:30pm is a free demo for the Call of Cthulhu living card game from Fantasy Flight Games.  Come try out this excellently designed game.  Chuck Nunley and Skip Nicholson will show you how to play.  Chuck and Skip also welcome new players most Saturdays about Noon for casual play.

Warlord Summer Campaign

Saturdays, Noon is casual play with possible 4^th Edition Constructed tournament.  Tobias Clark presides.

July 17, Saturday, 11am to Noon registration, is Warlord Summer Campaign Tournament.  The format is 4^th Edition Constructed.  Tobias Clark presides.  Entry is $20.  There will also be an informal Doubles tournament on Friday, July 16 at 7pm with prize support provided by Tobias.  For more information go to www.temple-of-lore.com/community/.

World of Warcraft

July 4, 11, 18 & 25 Sundays, 1:30pm is World of Warcraft Booster Draft.  Entry is the purchase of three boosters.  Prize pool is one booster per player.  Wrathgate booster box special: $89.

July 25, Sunday, 1:30pm is a World of Warcraft Spectral Safari Tournament.  The format is random class sealed deck.  Entry is $20.

Role Playing:

Thursdays, 7pm to approximately midnight, Michael Kirk is running an introductory Role-Playing group.  July 1, 15 & 29 is Pathfinder (Forgotten Realms setting).   July 8 & 22 is Pathfinder (Paizo setting).  Space is limited so check with Michael Kirk at mmahoun@aol.com.

Learn to Paint Minis!

Most Sundays starting about 1pm, Michael Kirk and Dallas Scott will be in the Game Room painting miniatures. Come get some painting done and share ideas!

D&D Encounters

July 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 Thursdays, 7pm is D&D Encounters: Dark Sun.  Come learn to play 4^th Edition Dungeon & Dragons.  Each encounter is expected to last 1-2 hours.  Players will earn Renown Points that may earn them exclusive game rewards for their characters.  Kenny Trosper presides.  Entry is FREE!

Warhammer Fantasy RPG

July 23, Friday, 7:30pm is Journey to Black Fire Pass Pre-Release.  This is an exclusive Warhammer Fantasy RPG event sponsored by Fantasy Flight Games.  Entry is FREE but limited to three players and one GM.  You may reserve your spot in advance at the register.

Other Games:

Thursdays, 7pm to about 11pm is Board Game Night.  Come learn a new board game.  Entry is free.

Most casual play is on Saturdays from 11am to 4pm.

Warmachine/Hordes

Most casual play is on Saturdays and Sundays.  We may be hosting a Hordes Genesis event soon.  Details TBA.

Most casual play is on Saturdays starting about Noon – mostly Warhammer 40K.
